Origins

The Invernizzi Award was established in 1994 upon the initiative of Fondazione Romeo ed Enrica Invernizzi to promote Italian scientific excellence.

Between 1994 and 2003, the Award was presented to Italian scholars who had stood out in the fields of Economics and Food Sciences, and was subsequently extended to include Medicine.

The Award has helped acknowledge individuals who have made a significant contribution to the development of research in the relevant disciplines.
